A Little Bit About Us

you are the missing piece
It is an honor to welcome you to our website. The North Orange County New Generations Rotary Club is a group of 20 to 40 year olds in the heart of Orange County near Disneyland, Anaheim Stadium, The Honda Stadium, the 91, 57, 22, and 5 Freeways meeting in North Orange County to do volunteer projects in the community.. Our club has 9 heart members, and has on roster up to 17 members. We are working towards acquiring a solid 25+ members, and continuing in our support and contributions in a number of creative ways. Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. There are 33,000 Rotary clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas. Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. As signified by the motto Service Above Self, Rotary’s main objective is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

This Rotary Club was put together with the demographic 20 to 40 year olds in mind, and had much help from fellow Rotarians in the nearby chapters to breathe new blood into the Rotary Clubs. We have been ardent in our belief that service comes first, and our good will is spread throughout the community, within other communities such as soldiers in Iraq, those less fortunate and by helping in restoration projects. We are neither a political nor religious organization, but individuals joined together with a common cause to serve the greater good. In Brea, Fullerton, Anaheim, Placentia, and other Orange County cities we have many ongoing projects & service ideas such as Meals on Wheels, Food Drive, Habitat 4 Humanity, Yorba Linda Veterans Association, Donate Life Run / Walk, Haiti relief, et cetera. We are looking for new members. As a new club, who is in the final stages of setting up our charter, we are looking for others to help build strengthen and laugh right beside us, as our merry bunch goes out and undertakes more and more service projects.
Welcome to our Rotary Club Website, a place where we can share pictures, testimonies, information on events, charities, and how and where our club is going. If you are not a member, please feel free to come to one of our meetings, and ask any questions you might have.

Now my friends, I am opposed to the system of society in which we live today, not because I lack the natural equipment to do for myself but because I am not satisfied to make myself comfortable knowing that there are thousands of my fellow men who suffer for the barest necessities of life. We were taught under the old ethic that man’s business on this earth was to look out for himself. That was the ethic of the jungle; the ethic of the wild beast. Take care of yourself, no matter what may become of your fellow man. Thousands of years ago the question was asked; ”Am I my brother’s keeper?” That question has never yet been answered in a way that is satisfactory to civilized society. Yes, I am my brother’s keeper. I am under a moral obligation to him that is inspired, not by any maudlin sentimentality but by the higher duty I owe myself. What would you think me if I were capable of seating myself at a table and gorging myself with food and saw about me the children of my fellow beings starving to death. – EUGENE V. DEBS (1908 Speech)
